The Junkers F13 was the world's first commercial aircraft, developed in Dessau in 1919, and featured a revolutionary metal aircraft design. It formed the basis for modern passenger aviation and was used by Lufthansa for scheduled services when it was founded in 1926. In total, more than 300 aircraft were sold in over 30 countries. The F13 was the first civil aircraft to be made entirely of metal. It offered passengers an enclosed and heated cabin for the first time, while the pilots sat in an open cockpit. Its historical significance lay in the fact that its maiden flight on June 25, 1919, laid the foundation for modern aviation. There was hardly an airline in the 1920s and 1930s that did not use Junkers aircraft. The Ju 52/3m in particular made the Junkers name world-famous. The legendary Tante Ju—with its typical corrugated metal skin—impressed with its proverbial indestructibility and extreme punctuality. In memory of these outstanding achievements and for all those who still feel the spirit of adventure of those years, Point tec has created a series of Junkers pilot watches with great attention to detail: Elaborate dials, the use of stainless steel cases and high-quality movements characterize this collection. Each watch is engraved with the edition number and the Junkers pilot's emblem on the stainless steel back. Every watch in this series is a masterpiece of high-precision electronics and precision engineering. The watch offered here has only been worn a few times and shows signs of wear only on the back. It comes in its original box with the accompanying papers.
