I am selling my extremely rare Vedette watch, pilot-style, dating from between 1978 and the early 1980s—the years when the Junghans 667.20 Mecaquartz movement was produced. The watch functions perfectly; in 2024, I had it polished and satin-finished by a skilled watchmaker. The mineral crystal is new, and the bracelet circumference is 19 cm at its maximum extension. It is made entirely of solid stainless steel, and the links are a full 4 mm thick. Adjusting the time may feel stiff, but this is simply due to the friction caused by the rubber ring, which serves three functions: it protects the movement from shocks and acts as a seal for both the crown and the case back. Back then, Vedette likely sourced its movements from Junghans and had only the dial—also of Junghans quality—custom-engraved with applied baton hour markers. You’ll be hard-pressed to find another one exactly like this. I am a private seller and cannot offer a warranty, but I assure you there will be no unpleasant surprises. Thank you.
