ZenTra, the Central Association of German Watchmakers, was founded in 1927 as the Brand Watch Association with the aim of supplying specialty retailers with high-quality watches at market-competitive prices. The advertising slogan at the time was: "ZentRa, the faithful companion, reliable in all situations!" In the 1930s and 1940s, there was one or more ZentRa specialty retailers in almost every German city, with a total of approximately 2,500 retailers. Flower Power and booming business characterized the 1960s and 1970s. In 2001, the industry-experienced rs-Uhren-Handelsgesellschaft acquired the ZentRa license and gave the company a fresh new look, without losing sight of its classic heritage. ZentRa has always remained true to its line and continues to delight watch enthusiasts around the world with new creations.
