It was an adaptation of the Heuer Autavia reference 7763, which added a large red-white-blue counter to the dial and modified the chronograph configuration to jump every 30 seconds instead of every minute, in order to count down 15 minutes for a sailing race. The Valjoux 7730 movement would otherwise have been equipped with a 30-minute counter.
