The Circular 1 collection marks a milestone in the brand’s history by establishing itself as the very first iconic timepiece conceived and crafted by id Genève. At the heart of this exceptional watchmaking creation lies a strong commitment to environmental responsibility, embodied by a case made entirely from stainless steel that is both locally sourced and rigorously traceable. This unique raw material is directly derived from the upcycling of metal scraps generated by some forty watchmaking companies based in the Jura Mountains and surrounding regions. The process begins at a specialized waste management facility that collects, analyzes via spectrometry, meticulously sorts, and stores these industrial residues. Once the required minimum quantity is reached, this manufacturing waste is transported to a foundry located less than 200 kilometers from the Jura to be remelted, thus completing a local and circular production cycle.
