The askania Bremen wristwatch is a tribute to the Junkers W33, christened “Bremen.” The Junkers W33 was the first aircraft in the world to cross the Atlantic from east to west. Thanks to the crew’s aeronautical feat and the precision of the askania onboard compass, this flight secured its place in the history books. A pilot’s watch with a story. I received the Askania watch as a severance gift, wore it only once or twice, and found it too large for me. That’s why it now only spins on the watch winder, which is actually a shame.
