The Citizen is an independent brand of the Citizen watchmaking group. Created in 1995, it represents what Citizen knows how to do: it is the symbol of its expertise, the quintessence of its watchmaking knowledge. As such, it is the Japanese company's top-of-the-range model. In all their models, you'll find the rigor and poetry of the Japanese archipelago. In keeping with this philosophy, the Manufacture presents one of its latest creations, the Super Titanium Eco-drive - AQ4091-56L watch. The Super Titanium Eco-drive has a round case measuring 40 mm in diameter. This shape and size make it an extremely versatile watch, delicately fitting all wrist sizes. As an added comfort, the case middle is made of Duratect titanium, making it incredibly light compared to a conventional stainless steel watch (40% lighter). In addition to its featherweight, this material offers enhanced shock resistance and good resistance to magnetic fields. The watch's sapphire crystal has been given an anti-reflective treatment for optimal readability in all circumstances. To set the time and date, a winding crown is located at 3 o'clock. Notched and engraved with the brand logo, it adds a touch of ergonomics and aesthetics to this timepiece. The caseback is firmly screwed down. It is engraved with the brand's emblem and features inscriptions relating to certain watch-specific characteristics, such as its reference, movement and water-resistance to 10 atm. This is a blue dial you won't find anywhere else. In fact, it's made from washi paper fiber. This material is synonymous with the Japanese home, as it is often used indoors, notably to make the famous sliding doors. The rendering on this watch is simply sublime, with a particularly textured look. The hour markers are baton-shaped and have been delicately hand-worked for a sublime polished finish. The edges have been given a very interesting bevelling. A white minute track completes the hour markers with a minute scale. This will enable you to read the time with the utmost precision. Both hour and minute hands are dauphine-shaped and feature a luminescent treatment for visibility even at night! A date window at 3 o'clock is finely framed by a polished stainless steel border. The brand symbol, a heraldic eagle, is featured at 6 o'clock. Finally, The Citizen signs its creation at noon. Just as efficient as the rest of the watch, the movement that makes it tick is an Eco Drive A060 solar quartz manufacture mechanism (23 jewels) of the finest lineage! In fact, it offers a fearsome precision of -5/+5 seconds per year! It's hard to beat that! Its power reserve is 7 months! In fact, it's almost unlimited, as the watch will constantly recharge in the presence of light, whether natural or artificial! What's more, this caliber features an autonomous perpetual calendar function, saving you tedious setting at the end of each month and for leap years. You can also add a power reserve function, activated by a button at 2 o'clock. Last but not least, if the movement detects a shock, it will automatically block the hands to prevent any misalignment.
