GoS introduces the Winter Nights III, a striking evolution of one of its most iconic creations. First launched in 2013, the original Winter Nights broke new ground as the world’s first collector-driven subscription watch in Damascus steel. This third edition builds on that legacy, combining 18k Swedish gold with stainless Damascus steel for a timepiece rooted in craftsmanship and storytelling. The name itself references the Viking transition into winter, a symbolic moment reflecting endurance, rhythm, and respect for nature’s cycles, values deeply embedded in GoS watchmaking. Winter Nights III refines the original architecture with a more sculptural and dimensional approach. The chapter ring merges solid gold construction with sharp bevels and precise finishing, enhancing depth while preserving legibility. At the heart of the dial lies a collaboration between master bladesmith Conny Persson and watchmaker Patrik Sjögren, featuring the signature “wildflower” Damascus pattern. Each dial is meticulously machined and hand-finished in the GoS atelier, revealing intricate contrasts within the steel and ensuring every piece is entirely unique. A defining innovation of the Winter Nights III is its permanently darkened stainless Damascus steel, achieved through a proprietary process that bonds the patina to the material itself. Unlike surface coatings, this finish offers lasting durability and a rich, aged aesthetic reminiscent of Viking-era artefacts. Framed by hand-finished 18k gold components, the contrast between dark steel and warm gold is both bold and refined. Made entirely within the GoS atelier, each watch reflects the brand’s commitment to independent watchmaking, material innovation, and exceptional hand-finishing.
