Chapter 8 marks a deeply personal milestone for BA111OD, unveiling the Baillod Family Legacy Special Editions as a tribute to more than 250 years of watchmaking roots in Neuchâtel. Inspired by a late nineteenth century pocket watch signed Charles Baillod, recently added to the brand’s heritage collection, these pieces transform ancestry into forward momentum. Rather than preserving history in amber, founder Thomas Baillod treats it as creative fuel, a foundation rather than a finish line. The result is a contemporary interpretation of family legacy guided by independence, sincerity, and a refusal to be confined by convention. The design draws directly from the historic pocket watch while speaking a modern language. A guilloché pattern dial echoes the engraved decoration of the original, framed by Roman numerals and a traditional railway minute track. The hands balance classical inspiration with clear legibility, complemented by a small seconds display at 7 o’clock, a subtle reference to period ergonomics, and a carefully sculpted crown. An engraved caseback completes the tribute, positioning these editions firmly within the Baillod timeline. Housed in a 41mm case with satin brushed and polished finishes, a domed sapphire crystal, and a visible Swiss automatic Soprod movement with a 42 hour power reserve, the collection is offered in two interpretations. Stainless steel with blued hands, or steel with soft gold PVD and black hands. Neo vintage in spirit, confident in execution, heritage sharpened for today.
