De Rijke & Co. unveils three new limited-edition driver’s watches created in collaboration with automotive illustrator Guy Allen. The Amazon, Sahara and Turini models each celebrate an iconic car: the Land Rover Defender, Porsche 911 and Lancia Stratos respectively. Each design is limited to just 50 numbered pieces. These watches form the second series of the Amalfi special editions, continuing a collaboration between De Rijke & Co. and Allen that has grown over eight years. What began as illustrations promoting early timepieces evolved into the Amalfi concept in 2024. De Rijke & Co. produces elegant mechanical watches in small numbers from its atelier near Rotterdam. The brand combines traditional machinery with extensive hand finishing to create distinctive pieces. The Amalfi was conceived specifically as a driver’s watch, featuring a two-piece case that rotates 90 degrees so the dial remains perfectly aligned while driving. In this second series, the design advances with a fully ceramic case paired with a sapphire crystal. The dials also reach new artistic heights. Made from solid 925 silver, they feature champlevé enamel enhanced by intricate 3D engraving on the lower half. Subtle variations in depth are sealed beneath a polished layer of transparent grand feu enamel, producing vivid colours and striking dimensionality. The enamel work is completed by a specialist craftsman in the UK, while engraving, finishing and final assembly take place in-house at the De Rijke atelier.
