The Vacheron Constantin Historiques 222 reference 4200H/222A-B934 marks the revival of a design originally launched in 1977 to celebrate the brand's 222nd anniversary, now updated with refined craftsmanship and contemporary watchmaking. The model was designed by Jörg Hysek and represented a departure from traditional sports watch conventions of the time, capturing a cultural mood that blurred the lines between formality and sportiness. This 2025 reissue features a 37mm tonneau-shaped case and integrated bracelet executed in brushed stainless steel, with a blue dial adorned with luminous baton markers and slender hands, anchored by the subtle Maltese cross emblem at 5 o'clock. The watch is powered by the caliber 2455/2, offering a 40-hour power reserve and visible through the sapphire caseback. The original 222 was first unveiled in 1977 to mark Vacheron Constantin's 222nd anniversary, with only around 500 to 700 "Jumbo" 37mm versions produced before it was discontinued in 1985. The 222 is considered the third member of the "Holy Trinity" of luxury sports watches alongside the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak and Patek Philippe Nautilus, all three initially sharing the same base movement. The original model later inspired the Vacheron Constantin Overseas collection, which launched in 1996. The watch is fully covered under the Vacheron Constantin warranty through November 2033. The watch is in New/Unworn condition, with no signs of wear. The photos are representative of the condition. The watch comes with: Outer Sleeve Inner Watch Roll Leather Portfolio Instruction Booklet Hangtag Warranty Card Extra Links (full)
