The Raketa Watch Factory has collaborated with the Moscow Sergey Obraztsov Puppet Theatre to create a limited-edition Raketa Theatre watch, with only 100 individually numbered pieces. Each watch represents a unique seat in an exclusive performance, with its dial inspired by the theatre’s iconic pediment clock, where each hour is marked by an animal figurine. These figurines have been reimagined with a modern avant-garde touch. The watch’s design balances elegance and originality with a bold dial, multi-colored rotor printing, and contrasting leather strap stitching. Beyond the watch itself, Raketa is also assisting in restoring the theatre’s monumental facade clock, reinforcing its commitment to preserving cultural heritage while merging art with horology. According to Elena Bulukova, the theatre’s director, this restoration keeps the clock’s characters alive, not as static museum pieces but as part of a continuing living history that connects the past with the present. For many families, the theatre’s clock evokes cherished memories of childhood visits and fairy-tale magic. Raketa’s new model aims to revive these emotional connections, building new traditions while honoring old ones. Proudly made in Russia, the Raketa Theatre houses a fully in-house automatic movement, crafted in St. Petersburg using techniques passed down from Soviet-era watchmaking, ensuring a fusion of history, craftsmanship, and cultural storytelling.
