The Raketa Big Zero x Masha Yankovskaya reinterprets one of the brand’s most recognisable watches through the perspective of contemporary art. For Russian artist Masha Yankovskaya, time is not simply measured by minutes and hours but experienced through identity, memory, and personal reflection. As life moves through changing cities, cultures, and trends, the inner “Я” meaning “I” remains constant. This collaboration explores that idea by placing individuality at the centre of the watch, turning timekeeping into a reflection of personal identity. Yankovskaya’s visual language shapes the dial with her signature red colour, a shade that also carries strong symbolism for Raketa. At its centre sits a rotating star used as the seconds indicator. The motif comes from the artist’s Tarot inspired Star painting, part of the Major Arcana where the Star symbolises hope, inspiration, and renewal. In the watch this symbol moves continuously with the rhythm of time. The star also recalls Raketa’s historic connection to space exploration, an important chapter for the brand following Yuri Gagarin’s pioneering flight. Replacing the traditional 6 o’clock marker is the artist’s signature “Я”, reinforcing the theme of individuality and personal perspective. Limited to just 100 individually numbered pieces, the watch is paired with a red leather strap and also includes a classic black alligator strap. Inside beats Raketa’s in house automatic movement, entirely produced at the historic Raketa Watch Factory. The movement can be seen through the open caseback, where the rotor is decorated with elegant Neva wave patterns.
